Unlike other ordinary expansions, Hellraid doesn’t have much (if anything) to do with Dying Light. "The DLC is all about looting and slashing, and little else."īut beyond these conceptual reasons, when you actually get down to playing Hellraid, there’s a lot that gets in the way of enjoyment. Meanwhile, the fact that Hellraid also gives us a brief look at Techland’s long-in-development fantasy looter slasher with the same name is also a treat for those who’ve been looking forward to that game (and sadly, probably will have to keep waiting for a good while). In that, the very fact that Hellraid even exists is a pleasantly surprising one- you don’t often see developers adding new content to a game that came out half a decade ago, especially when they’re working on a sequel for it as well. All told, Dying Light’s post-launch support has been nothing short of exceptional one, to the point that even now, five years away from the game’s release, and right on the cusp of its sequel coming out, we’ve got a new piece of content to dive into. But Techland stuck with their first person zombie adventure, doggedly improving the game bit by bit over time with admirable determination. Its initial launch in 2015 was a bumpy one, and like so many games this generation, the game suffered from a multitude of issues right out the gate. The quickest way to know if this work is if when after you press drop out, if the text on the loading screening shows a mission from the main game.Dying Light has had a curious journey. After that you should be loaded into your normal game and be able to open your inventory! Once loaded into the game, give it a sec and open back up the pause menu, and go down to Drop Out. Don’t be worried if the text on the loading screen still says a mission from the dlc. Then other lobbies should load with locations from the main game (like slums and old town), click on one of those and join the game. When the pop up asking if you are okay with joining the game on whatever mission that player is on, click back. Once you in the menu with other player’s open hellraid lobby’s, click on a random one, but don’t join. I messed around with the menus, and after crashing about 7 times, I found a fix, I’m not sure if this works for the following too but I know people were having the same bug for that dlc too, so hopefully this works for y’all too:Īfter loading into the game, press pause and go to “Matchmaking”, and then press “Find Games” Someone said to delete the dlc from the console but on PS5/PS4 there’s literally no way to delete add on’s without deleting the whole game and reinstalling everything but Hellraid, and I had progressed enough in Hellraid to not be able to go back to the fast travel poster, but still had majority of the mini game to do before I got the the end of it, so all the temporary fixes people mentioned before were off the table for me. So I loaded up into hellraid to try it out, but every time I left and tried to open my inventory my game crashed, I know lots of other people were having that bug too.
